TRAFFICLAND LLC, the Russian
developer of software solutions for remote over-the-air management of
SIM, USIM and R-UIM cards and Rostelecom OJSC (MICEX - RTS: RTKM,
RTKMP; OTCQX: ROSYY), Russia’s national telecommunications operator
have successfully completed OTA-campaign for renewing of the network
code (IMSI) for mobile subscribers’ SIM-cards of its Group’s
subsidiary, AKOS CJSC, providing mobile telecommunications services
in Primorsky Krai of Russian Federation under the brand of
«Rostelecom».
For providing of remote
over-the-air (OTA) service to local subscribers’ SIM-cards, the
Trafficland OTA-platform was integrated into the mobile network
infrastructure of AKOS CJSC. Thus the hardware and software system
called Trafficland WiTS™ has been installed at technical site of
AKOS CJSC in Vladivostok. During the active phase of the project, the
new IMSI-value has been introduced to almost 130 000
subscribers’ SIM-cards over-the-air thus eliminating their need to
visit the mobile operator’s customer care offices for replacing of
their SIM-cards. In addition to the new network code, all SIM-cards
covered by the OTA-campaign received new data which are essential for
rebranding campaign of Rostelecom OJSC and further optimization of
network operation.
